About This Course

ID415 VDA Automotive Core Tools Professional CONTENTS Successful project work requires knowledge of planning processes and methods, along with an understanding of how the methods are related. You will become familiar with the basic tools of quality management and learn how to apply them in an efficient and targeted manner. The training provides an overview of the current status and application of the Core Tools in the automotive and supply industry, intending to improve relations with customers and suppliers, ensure high process and product quality, solve problems that occur systematically, and avoid the repetition of faults. The options for use are discussed in detail. These tried-and-tested methods are required in quality planning and steering. They include tools such as advanced quality planning (maturity level assurance and advanced product quality planning), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Measurement System Analysis (VDA 5 and MSA), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), VDA 2 and Production Process and Product Approval, Statistical Process Control (SPC) and the 8D method. OBJECTIVES - Understand the importance of the Automotive Core Tools in the automotive industry. - Familiarise yourself with the individual methods and their structures. - Know what differentiates the various methods, and what they have in common. - Familiarise yourself with the areas of application of various methods and apply them appropriately in the product development process. METHODS The methods and procedural models are presented, discussed and illustrated using examples from actual practice. The program alternates between lectures and group work. The group tasks help the participants to transfer the lessons learned to their professional practice. Brief case studies are used to illustrate the practical relevance of the tools. Special attention is paid to opportunities for sharing experiences. TARGET AUDIENCE - Employees in product and process development or production, - Managers wishing to obtain an overview of the Core Tools for quality management and how they are interrelated, so they can use this expertise to strengthen their organization, and prospective process and system auditors. PREREQUISITES FOR ATTENDANCE Basic knowledge of quality management in the automotive industry is an advantage. CERTIFICATE OF QUALIFICATION After passing the knowledge test (60%+), you will receive a certificate of qualification. DURATION 5 full days or 10 half-days

For in-person public courses, the fee includes the event venue, coffee, refreshments, and lunch. It does not include accommodation or other travel expenses. ht+a will share accommodation discount options with you if available and recommends booking 2 weeks before an event to ensure the event is a confirmed go-ahead. ht+a is not liable for travel expense losses due to cancellation by either party, weather, flight delays, or other unforeseen circumstances. For in-person in-house courses, unless otherwise specified, pricing assumes the training will take place at the client's location and ht+a will not provide catering. The Client will ensure that the training room will be equipped with all necessary tools including flip charts, markers, video projectors/screens, appropriate furnishings and ample electrical outlets. Sustainability & Materials: - Delegates require an email address and a stable and active internet connection with suitable equipment (computer, smartphone or tablet) to access course materials and, where applicable, to complete online tests and join live video calls. - Printed course materials will not be provided, including for in-person or in-house events. Customers may print their course materials if desired. - ht+a no longer provides publications (textbooks) as part of the course fee. It is the customer's responsibility to procure any supplementary material either as an add-on from ht+a (payment is required in advance), OR from the VDA (https://shorturl.at/fbHJs) or the AIAG (https://shorturl.at/z73jg) directly (all corresponding shipping and duties will be for the customer's account). Due to copyright, ht+a does not provide digital copies of publications. - Digital certificates will be provided. Certificates for VDA QMC courses will only be issued once full payment is received. Certificates for ht+a courses will be automatically issued upon completion of course requirements. Customers may print their certificate if desired.
