ID430 Electrical Overstress in the Automotive Industry Dealing with semiconductor devices showing a signature of electrical overstress OVERVIEW The VDA volume EOS in the automotive industry provides a way to handle failures that show signs of electronic overload. In this one-day training, you will acquire specialist knowledge in order to work on structured EOS complaints in all their facets. Here, the processes of cooperation and problem solving between OEMs, suppliers and semiconductor manufacturers are discussed and recommendations for action are given. The focus is on communicating the relevance and dimension of the topic of EOS, its causes and its fault appearance. OBJECTIVES You will be familiar with the difference between individual cases and frequent occurrences. You will know about the challenges and limitations of solving an individual case. You will know how to handle EIPD cases and be able to describe the associated processes, communication channels and escalation paths. You will be familiar with the differences between special case EIPD and EOS. You will be able to process concrete case studies on EIPD and causes of errors in the life cycle in a technically correct manner. You will be familiar with the questionnaire as a means of communication, know where the information comes from or why it is important, and be able to evaluate it in terms of meaningfulness. You will be able to classify EOS in the VDA process landscape (8D, field failure analysis, etc.). You will be able to describe the responsibilities and roles in EOS. CONCEPT & METHODS The training alternates between technical presentations and group work. Group work supports the transfer of what has been learned into your own working practice. Special emphasis is placed on opportunities to exchange experiences. TARGET AUDIENCE Employees from quality management, development, complaints processing and production. It does not include accommodation or other travel expenses. ht+a will share accommodation discount options with you if available and recommends booking 2 weeks before an event to ensure the event is a confirmed go-ahead. ht+a is not liable for travel expense losses due to cancellation by either party, weather, flight delays, or other unforeseen circumstances. For in-person in-house courses, unless otherwise specified, pricing assumes the training will take place at the client's location and ht+a will not provide catering. The Client will ensure that the training room will be equipped with all necessary tools including flip charts, markers, video projectors/screens, appropriate furnishings and ample electrical outlets. Sustainability & Materials: - Delegates require an email address and a stable and active internet connection with suitable equipment (computer, smartphone or tablet) to access course materials and, where applicable, to complete online tests and join live video calls. - Printed course materials will not be provided, including for in-person or in-house events. Customers may print their course materials if desired. - ht+a no longer provides publications (textbooks) as part of the course fee. It is the customer's responsibility to procure any supplementary material either as an add-on from ht+a (payment is required in advance), OR from the VDA (https://shorturl.at/fbHJs) or the AIAG (https://shorturl.at/z73jg) directly (all corresponding shipping and duties will be for the customer's account). Due to copyright, ht+a does not provide digital copies of publications. - Digital certificates will be provided. Certificates for VDA QMC courses will only be issued once full payment is received. Certificates for ht+a courses will be automatically issued upon completion of course requirements. Customers may print their certificate if desired.
